Is Hospital Radio still a thing in 2026? ![]()
YES! Hospital Radio is all about people. Our team of dedicated volunteers visit patients at their bedside every single week to chat, ask for a music request and play their favourite song. We dedicate songs for patients and staff from the wider community. We entertain with the sole aim of making patients happier. ![]()
We've been doing this since 1973!
“How Sweet It Is” that legendary songwriter Brian Holland will be celebrating his 85th birthday on Saturday, just one of eighteen musical stars in our birthday file this week. Ed Sheeran will be 35, Becky Hill is 32 tomorrow and Peter Gabriel is 76 today. Also celebrating this week are Andy Taylor of Duran Duran and film star John Travolta, and The Weeknd will be 36 – after the weekend!
Tonight's live show is the Tuesday Team Request Show from 7.00pm - 9.30pm. The theme for the show is Big Brass. If you'd like Stephen, Laura and Steve to play a favourite song or piece of music that features a brass instrument, please get in touch by filling out the request form on our website (www.radiowarneford.com) where you can also listen to our live broadcasts and pre-recorded shows 😀.
